Ulstern
Note prior to the events of Dead Moon Night this country was called Asabel.
Following the events of the Dead Moon Night this country has been ruled by Queen Mariah. Initially people were scared due to the increase in traditionally dangerous monsters but soon everyone learned to live with eachother peacefully.
Since then the country has had to face many challenges; rogue Alchemists, a vengeful Witch, but so far the citizens of Ulstern have risen to every challenge. Most of our Arum games are set in Ulstern or feature prominent characters from Ulstern.
Helena's Kingdom
Note prior to the events of The Grumpy Knight this country was called Lucky amongst other names.
Helena's Kingdom is currently "ruled" by a King whose favourite past time used to be thinking up new names for the Island. He once named the Island after his favourite dog - Lucky. Currently the Island is named after his wife Queen Helena.
Fortunately or unfortunately (for the King) the Island is now stuck with name Helena's Kingdom, lest the King offend his wife. Despite being a small island they have considerable resources due to the huge number of magic gems that they can mine.
Rumen
Rumen is ruled by a number of ancient vampire families. While this may sound terrifying the vampires' main passion is nurturing the arts. It turns out that if you live long enough that you begin to strive for creativity and the avant garde.
In Rumen you'll struggle to find even a small town without a gallery, opera house or theatre. However Rumen does hide a few dark secrets from its past, from a time before civilisation matured.
Abyssal of the Opera is one of our most recent games, and does not currently have a fixed position in the timeline other than it takes place after Dead Moon Night.Corvelia
If you wanted a place with strict rules and an uncountable number of laws then look no further than Corvelia. The people of Corvelia are on the whole the most law abiding populace you'll ever find.
If you break the law then Corvelia will attempt to apprehend you will their full force. Corvelia is different however in that rather believe in incarceration or retribution, they believe in rehabilitation. You'll regularly find former law breakers
working at the King's castle or being trained in new skilled trades. Corvelia is usually a very peaceful place but it does have its own small number of trouble makers.
In Search of Freedom is a game with several time skips, it technically starts right before Dead Moon Night and it explores the perception of Ulstern and its citizens in the first few years following the events of the Dead Moon Night.Lorven
A land once wrecked by a terrible plague that survived thanks to the aid of a mysterious benefactor. Has consistent problems with sects forming off suspicious beliefs.
Game Links
While most of our Arum based games have some links, most are minor for example; you might find healing items imported from another country, or hear the latest gossip and occaisonly a character may cameo.
However there are a few games with some very strong links. While we believe all our games work as stand alone games, if you want to further your understanding of certain characters and events then hopefully this will help.
A few playable characters from both The Grumpy Knight and In Search of Immortality return as playable characters in Sunken Spire. The Grumpy Knight and In Search of Immortality can be played in any order.
